Ontario Medical Foundation Virtual Gala raises funds to support physicians and medical students

More than 200 guests attended the Ontario Medical Foundation’s first Virtual Gala on September 25th. The event raised $40,000 to help advance the OMF’s mission to support the charitable interests and activities of current and future members of Ontario’s medical profession and their communities. 

The gala was emceed by comedian Julie Kim – a two-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee – and featured keynote talks by Canadian Olympic gold medallist Mark Tewksbury, and Canadian fitness experts Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod.

This special evening also included performances by the members of the acapella choir Voices Rock Medicine, as well as performances by Dan Julien and his band, and Sean Stanley with Kyle Tarder-Stoll.  

A compilation of thank you video messages was presented featuring recipients of Ontario Medical Foundation bursaries, and a silent auction and 50/50 draw were held during the event.
