Ontario’s doctors: Protect yourselves and others from a fourth wave by getting vaccinated

Toronto, August 9, 2021 —As many in Ontario are enjoying a return to a more normal life, we are also experiencing an almost daily spike in COVID-19 infections largely driven by the highly contagious Delta variant of the virus. This has led to rising hospitalizations among unvaccinated and concerns about a fourth wave.

“To help us all stay safe in the coming months, Ontario’s doctors continue to urge all those who have not yet been vaccinated to get their COVID shots as soon as possible,” said Dr. Adam Kassam, President of the Ontario Medical Association. “Being fully vaccinated is the best way to protect yourselves and put the economy on a strong path to recovery.”

To find out where you can get your COVID shot, ask your family doctor or visit Ontario’s vaccine booking portal.
