It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Robert Wahby, on Sunday, June 9th at the age of 83, after a long battle with kidney disease. Robert was blessed with a beautiful 59-year marriage to the love of his life, his devoted wife Marlene.
Loving father to Bob, Todd (Anna), and Darren (Krista). Cherished Papa to Joseph, Geneva, Mikayla, Alyssa, Olivia, and Amanda. Beloved brother of the late Dr. Elmer (Kathleen), Acey (Ethel), Lorena, Ted (Yvonne), and Adele. Bob was loved by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Doctor Doc
was a graduate of Western University, School of Medicine, and proudly served the community of Dorchester for over 53 years. Doc's passion for patient care and his love of medicine was unwavering. Doc excelled in everything that he did, from his inspiring marriage, to fatherhood, his career, and for being the best Papa to his grandchildren. Bob sought excellence, and was a born leader and mentor. He served as an occupational physician for multiple corporations, held leadership roles for many charitable organizations, and played multiple sports, all while maintaining a very busy medical practice, that brought him much fulfillment and joy. Doc was cherished by thousands of patients, colleagues and friends and will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the dialysis center at Victoria Hospital and to the caring ICU staff at University Hospital, who cared for Bob during his last days.
Dad, your presence will be missed more than you will ever know. Your laughter and kindness will forever be present in our hearts.
