Dr. Wayne Everett ('Doc') of Kent Bridge, Ont., passed away on Dec. 21, 2024, at Riverview Gardens in Chatham. He leaves behind his sons, Alex and Drew, along with his brother Doug and sister Liz. Predeceased by his brother Bill, he is fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law Sabrina, granddaughters Aria and Lia, as well as Stacy and grandsons Clarke and Will. Wayne’s family will be remembering him privately.
He lived and left as a free spirit – strong, brave and smart. He was also a lifelong supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether fiddling with projects in his workshop, tending to Belly Acres, or perfecting his golf swing, he was happiest when he was outdoors, working with his hands, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Rest easy, Doc. May you find the fairways, the Leafs have a winning season, and Belly Acres remain a sanctuary of love and fond memories. You will be deeply missed.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Wayne’s memory are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
