Jean Ethel McIlveen, 88, died after a short illness on June 22, 2023, at the Brockville General Hospital. Jean was born on Feb. 18, 1935, in Brockville, Ont., daughter of George Henon and Lola May (Porteous) McIlveen.
Jean studied Medicine at Queen's University, Class of 1960 and practiced medicine for 40 years, mostly in the Brockville area. Jean was a strong and determined woman, had a wry sense of humour, and a great capacity for empathy and care.
Jean is survived by her son, Ranjit Andrew Singh, his wife Michelle and their children Alicia and Matthew, as well as her daughter, Kim Anita Szpiro, her husband Daniel and their children Nathan and Emily, Brother Murray McIlveen and many nieces and nephews.
