Dr. Jane Ekpo Anwan

 

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Brantford General Hospital, on February 25, 2024. Jane was 91 years of age.

Predeceased by her husband Melvin Tidman.  Cherished mother to David Anwan (Nadine), Esien Anwan (Shannon), John Hood Tidman (Jo-Anne), Mark Tidman, and Chris Tidman.  Beloved grandma to Dakari, Segun, Tolu, Gbenga, Sean (Avery), and Abbey (Andrew).  She will be dearly missed by her niece Eunice (Femi).  Beloved auntie of Gloria, Winifred, Margaret, and Jenny. Loved cousin of Offiong (Robert). Jane is predeceased by her siblings Isabella, Grace, and Louisa.  She will be dearly missed by many extended family members and friends.

Jane was an anesthesiologist and caring physician for many years, serving Brantford and surrounding areas. She loved to travel, and was always up for a new adventure. She visited many wonders of the world, but was particularly fond of Portugal. Jane was a lady of many talents, she was always trying her hand in learning new musical instruments, and also earned a black belt in taekwondo!  Jane professed a strong faith in God, which carried her through many of life’s trials and challenges.
