Dr. William 'Liam' Hayes, a loving husband, father, brother and pillar of his community entered his final rest peacefully on Nov. 3, 2023, at the age of 77.
Born in Limerick, Ireland, Dr. Hayes dedicated over four decades to serving the Belleville community as a respected family doctor. His compassion and dedication to his patients were unwavering, earning him the admiration of all who knew him.
Liam was an avid sportsman, playing rugby in his youth and golf in his later years. He was known for his quick-witted sense of humour, and his love for animals, especially the family dogs.
Liam will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Erica, their two sons Daragh and Brian, daughters-in-law Yuki and Liz, and his grandson, Liam Og. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings and extended family from Ireland, as well as many dear friends in Belleville and abroad.
The family will have a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Dr. William Hayes.
