It is with great sadness that we announce Stewart Balfour Heddle's passing on Nov. 5, 2023, in his 83rd year.
Trained as a plastic surgeon at Columbia Presbyterian in New York and returning home to Hamilton, Stewart practised in the Hamilton community for 36 years. Loving husband of his supportive wife Nancy of 51 years. Beloved father to Mike (Jenny) and Niki (Caleb). Proud grandpa to Hannah and Hayden. He will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends.
Special thanks to doctors Miller and Cowan (St. Joseph's Healthcare) and all the staff at the West Haldimand Memorial Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Hamilton Health Sciences Burn Trauma Unit, where Dr. Stewart Heddle served as director in the late 1980s. Arrangements are entrusted to Cooper Funeral Home; friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories.
