Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024 at the age of 70 years. Pat Dooley of Pembroke, beloved husband of Laurie Courchesne-Dooley. Loved and cherished father of Mitchell Dooley and Olivia Dooley. Dear brother of Jane Higgison, Mary Hannaberry (Robert) and the late Edward Dooley. Brother-in-law to Steve Courchesne (France) and Pam Stewart (Russell) Dearest uncle to Ryan, Kate and Laura Higgison, Shalissa Hannaberry, the late Colleen MacDougall, Stephanie Courchesne, Vanessa Miller, Joel, Jeremy, Joshua and Julia Courchesne and great uncle to Solanges, Lilah, Lina, Henry and William. Pat will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by Jennifer Turcotte. Son of the Late Dr. Patrick E. and Solanges (nee Gougeon) Dooley. His many four-legged friends are going to miss him as well.
Pat faithfully served the area as a dedicated family physician for 33 years, making house calls and extending compassion and kindness to all. He was well-loved and will be dearly missed by all his former patients. When he retired, he was able to fulfill his dream to become an organic farmer for five years. His greatest joys were his children, family, a circle of close friends, his home on the farm, reading and learning, his tractors and days on the field with his farming buddies to bring in the harvest. He was the best dad, husband, brother and friend.
