On a beautiful Fall Saturday, with three of his four beloved children at his bedside, Dr. David Edward Brown, peacefully, slipped away on Sept. 23, at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
Loved beyond measure by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and aunt, David leaves us with so many happy memories of a lifetime of discipline and fun.
Most precious son of Franklin (deceased) and Joyce (deceased); and devoted father to Lillian, Hanna, Madison and Jackson; brother to Edmund, Diana, Susan, Ian (deceased), Nancy (deceased), and Logan; and grandpa to Emmaus, Mackenna, Shalysh, Sequoia, Javelin, Ruby, Jada and Memphis.
David's fortitude and self-discipline drove his many successes. From his champion gymnastic accomplishments in his teens to his gold medal award received from the biophysics honours degree program at Western University, Dave was most recognized for his dedication to the community as a devoted doctor and the parenting of four "super humans." Dave excelled at so many things. Nature was a lifelong passion.
A family person first and foremost, Dave always took deep interest in the wellbeing of family, friends and all people. He loved reading, travel, music, motorcycling, four-wheeling, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family.
A family burial service was held on Sept. 27, 2023 in Cumberland, Ont., close to the home where Dave and Carla raised their children. The family misses him dearly and would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
