With great sadness, we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother, babcia, and friend, Danuta (Dana) Fenner, after a battle with Alzheimer's. Her devoted husband, Richard (Dick), was by her side.
Danuta was born in Stryj, Poland. She immigrated to Canada in 1965 and pursued a career in medicine. For over 30 years she worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She was enormously respected for her dedication to her work. Danuta's warmth, gentle manner, and hospitable nature endeared her to many. She was devoted to her family and friends. She adored her four grandchildren and traveled to England for the birth of each one and for many visits after that. We felt her love, even when we couldn't be together.
Danuta is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; daughter, Jacqueline; son-in-law, Nicolaus; and cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Charlotte, Kira and Max. The family would like to thank her friends and the dedicated staff at Scarlet Heights Retirement Residence and at Copernicus Lodge for their sensitive care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to CAMH.
