Anne passed away suddenly on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 66 years of age. Daughter of the late Joan and Art Philp. Beloved wife and best friend for 43 years to Tim, the most incredible mother to Sean (Jenn), Emily (Darryl), Claire, Kieran, Nancy, and Heather and favourite grandma of Kelvin, Colleen, Rachel and Katie. Anne will also be deeply missed by the large community of patients she served as a family physician in the area for over 30 years.
To say that in life Anne was superhuman would be an understatement. As a mother to six children, she was the family organizer, the baker and chef extraordinaire and always managed to create a house full of love and support. Anne was generous with her time, supportive, caring and whip-smart in her work as a doctor. Anne lived her life deeply caring about people, and wanting to help. Her children and grandchildren hope to live by her example. Her kindness, vibrancy, generous spirit and the world’s best butter tarts will be deeply missed.
Anne’s family would be grateful if family and friends would consider making a donation in her honour to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Doctors Without Borders, Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice, the Food Bank of Waterloo Region or the Mennonite Central Committee in lieu of flowers.
