The family announces with great sorrow the death of Alfred Joseph Cooper on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at the Golden Manor at the age of 91. Dear husband of Margaret Cooper. Loving father of Lorna Cooper, Nancy (Wayne Brown) Cooper, and Marlene Cooper.
Dear grandfather of Michael, Samuel, Harrison, Jonah, Madison, Tosh, Riley, and Geneva; great grandfather of Darwin, Lowyn, Meegwin, and Jack. Predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Adeline Mishibinijima, his daughter Deborah Cooper Normand, his son Christopher Cooper, as well all of his siblings.
Alfred loved his family. He was devoted to caring for his wife in his later years. He also loved medicine which he practiced for almost 60 years in Timmins. He enjoyed fishing, boating in Manitoulin, playing bridge and cribbage, listening to country music and watching movies and hockey games. He was a big Habs fan. He also loved dogs and cats.
