Dr. Abdul Fazal Jina of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Windsor; and Toronto passed away peacefully in Toronto on June 28, 2023.
Son of late Fazal and Sherbanu; father of Karim Abdul (son of Diane); brother of late Shamsuddin, Aziz, Zera (Saleh), Mohamed, Firoz, and Salim. Following a crisis in Uganda in 1972, Dr. Jina immigrated to Canada and completed his medical studies at McMaster University.
He started his medical practice in 1978 and for more than 40 years devotedly cared for more than 7,000 patients across the Windsor area. Dr. Jina was selfless and always considered the care of his patients as paramount. Even in his final days, he continued to advise family and friends about their medical needs.
Dr. Jina was one-of-a-kind and will be greatly missed by all.
