Dr. Joy Hataley

Dr. Hataley is a family physician and anesthetist and a strong proponent of health-care system innovation.

Dr. Joy Hataley has been practising for 29 years in anesthesia and family and emergency medicine. Most recently she is embracing the rapid evolution of virtual care and all that it offers both patients and care providers. She is also engaged in efforts to increase in-home care by combining the accessibility of community paramedics with virtual capacity directly with patients and their care providers.

Dr. Hataley is currently District 7 chair at the Ontario Medical Association, which provides her the opportunity to support physicians in their key roles as clinicians, educators, researchers and administrators.

After many years of caring for patients, Dr. Hataley’s passion is listening to people and knowing their stories. Her goal is to push the needle closer to the ideal for both patients and care-providers in Ontario and Canada.
