Dr. Ted Xenodemetropoulos has clinical interests transcending the spectrum of luminal gastrointestinal, hepatic and pancreatic diseases. He also has academic and clinical interests in health information technology, having been involved in the current development of a comprehensive telemedicine program within the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. He has established interests within medical education, including the co-development of the case-based learning (CBL) curriculum for the internal medicine residency program at McMaster. He is a member of the Specialist Board for the Canadian Journal of Continuing Medical Education. He is also involved in a number of leadership and administrative roles related to medical education, clinical service delivery and quality improvement.
Dr. Xenodemetropoulos is currently an associate professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at McMaster University, and is a consultant gastroenterologist at Hamilton Health Sciences. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Alberta (2005), followed by graduate medical training in internal medicine (2008) and gastroenterology (2010), as well as a Master of Science in e-Health (2012) at McMaster University.
