2008 Medical Student Lobby Day at Queen’s Park

The 2008 Student Lobby Day will be held at Queen’s Park; Date to be determined.

Events will include educational sessions on leadership and public speaking, advocacy, media and lobbying techniques. The event will be hosted by the OMA, in conjunction with OMSA and PAIRO.

Additional events include observing question period and networking with government officials. There will be special guest speakers.

Lobby Day is an opportunity to increase awareness of legislative issues affecting medicine, to foster relationships with MPPs and to gain real-life experience in the practical aspects of health care advocacy.
