Many physicians have come to realize that the key to success in any well-run organization – large or small – is better management and increased productivity. Practice Advisory Services (PAS) is a member service intended to provide physicians with access to a wide range of valuable information. Resources are included here to assist you with your practice management skills. Topics that may be of interest to physicians include:
Practice Advisory Services has positioned itself to respond to physicians' needs by telephone advice, hosting seminars on current issues and coordinating direct access to professional advisors in practice management, human resources, finance, computerization, clinical management systems, and medical office design.
Physicians have spent many years acquiring professional skills but very few have received training in administration and practice management. PAS offers services each with the objective of providing the physicians with a sound basis for making important practice management decisions, which in turn helps them take better care of their patients. We also facilitate the resolution of questions, issues or concerns between physicians and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. PAS consultations are strictly confidential.
Practice Advisory Services (PAS) is a division of Professional Services Department under the executive directorship of Dr. Michael Thoburn. PAS is a member service designed to provide advice to help physicians manage their medical practices in a more efficient, cost-effective manner.
