West Nile Virus -  What You Need to Know

As West Nile virus has again appeared in the province, the doctors of Ontario want to provide you with the information that you need to protect yourself.

• While the chances of infection and serious illness are low, the relative few who are infected and develop West Nile Encephalitis or Meningitis become seriously and sometimes critically ill.
  
  
• Your local public health agencies are working hard to reduce the threat of this disease and provide health protective information to those in your community.
